The first PAGES event featured keynote speakers Nancy Pearl, librarian and author of Book Lust; and writer/broadcaster Eleanor Wachtel of CBC Radio’s Writers & Company.
The breakout sessions and panels were on such diverse topics as Local Media and their Reading Communities, The New Faces of Fiction, Romance Readers and e-Publishing, graphic novels, and Taking Writers to the Community.

The second PAGES event featured keynote speakers Rachel van Riel on the topic of Reaching Readers and Ross Todd on Partnerships: Literacy, Learning & Living.
Approximately 40 people joined us for an additional half-day session with Rachel van Riel the next day, where she went into more depth on innovative tactics for libraries to market our collections more effectively.

PAGES III featured keynote speaker Cory Doctorow, blogger and bestselling author, and Patsy Aldana of the National Reading Campaign. The exciting 2012 event also featured talks from educator and scholar Phil McCrae and Heather Zwicker of the Edmonton Pipelines project.

Keynote speakers included Dr. Maryanne Wolf, respected language and reading scholar and author of Proust and the Squid: The Story and Science of the Reading Brain; and retired public librarian and renowned readers’ advisory expert Joyce Saricks.
The 2014 event also featured exciting talks by local experts and authors touching on electronic and print formats, conversations with readers, and the appeal of setting in literature.
